Cracked Pea Gravel is a crushed angular red gravel which works well in native gardens and landscapes as a great alternative to wood-based mulch as it doesn’t degrade over time. It provides the soil with some level of sun protection and allows for excellent drainage.
Usually installed to a depth of 50mm-100mm, Cracked Pea Gravel can be used as an informal pathway or driveway however, can be uncomfortable under foot. It will remain loose on the surface due to the lack of fines/dust to enable compaction.
Available in 12mm.
We suggest installing Geofabric (available in store) underneath to stop the aggregate from mixing in with the existing sand, and to help control weeds.
