Blue Metal Dust, also known as Cracker Dust, Crusher Dust or Decomposed Granite, is a fine, compactable product made from crushed local blue metal. It’s one of Perth’s most popular base materials due to its strength, stability and excellent drainage.
This product is ideal for artificial lawn bases, pathways, driveways and hardstand areas. It compacts firmly to create a durable, long-lasting foundation. We can also stabilise Cracker Dust with Soilbond or cement for enhanced binding and reduced erosion.
Blue Metal Dust can also be used creatively in landscaping. When mixed with Red Gravel Fines or Summerstone Fines, it produces attractive colour variations and improves compaction for garden paths, natural-look walkways, verge areas, and feature zones.
