Koti Birdhouse – Moss

Pidät’s Koti is a ceramic birdhouse designed by Mika and Julie Tolvanen, with a distinctive triangular shape that echoes the clean lines of modern architecture. The birdhouse is mounted on a wall using a pine wood bracket, and a hidden opening on the back makes it easy to clean after the nesting season. With a 32 mm entrance hole, it’s perfectly suited for familiar songbirds such as tits, pied flycatchers and nuthatches.

Each Koti birdhouse is handcrafted at a Portuguese ceramics workshop with roots dating back to 1979. The glossy glaze gives the surface a beautiful, long-lasting finish while also making it harder for unwelcome visitors to enter. On the inside, the glaze has been deliberately left rough near the exit hole, helping fledglings climb out easily when it’s time to explore the world.
